Her
Horror Oh horror within my heart
Silence invades the lips that part
Unable to move unable to scream
Helplessly bound to a waking dream
The evil face before my eyes
She has returned to terrorize
The head upon my neck not turning
The vision of her face is burning
The eyes remaining opened wide
The soul completely horrified
She comes to torture taunt and tease
Refusing to leave my mind at ease
At last with strength of rage and furor
My gaze escapes the bedroom mirror
(inspired by the talents of Edgar Allen Poe)
